Le Chaland Beach – 1964

Found in the South East of Mauritius, Le Chaland beach is a really secluded place where one will really enjoy the tranquility of the spot and the sea. The Airport being a few kilometers away, the beach is accessible on the way towards Shandrani Hotel and on the road just before the Coast Guard base and not too far from La Cambuse beach.

During the 1960s, most beaches round the island were yet overtaken by hotels construction and bungalows, and could be enjoyed in their natural aspect. Additionally, Le Chaland, being very close to Blue Bay, has the bluest waters we can see around the island.
