Grand Sable beach found in the lower part of Grand Bay village was before the construction of the Royal Palm Hotel a famous accessible beach where anyone could enjoy the sunny weathers. Now that the Hotel has taken over that beach, it is hardly accessible by Mauritians except if you are a customer of the hotel.
Similarly, many of those Mauritian beaches are little by little being taken over by hotels and bungalows, or even for commercial activities. Who knows what will remain of this future past?
