Found near Cassis in Port Louis, Bain des Dames is another fishing spot quite close to the harbour and the beach is not having the reputation for being quite sandy too. Most of the time people will be spending their time their to enjoy the loneliness and quiteness of the place and as it is located near industrial and commercial areas, workers tend to spend their lunch time their enjoying the view and the breeze. Click here to locate the exact spot on Google Maps. It can also be said to be the place next to Les Salines.

At a certain time, it was said that the beach was more of a coral type and dried sea plants. With time though, the beach has been cleaned and looks more of the tropical type. As the proximity with the harbour is very close, a lot of ships entering and leaving the harbour can be seen almost everywhere, and not to mention those small fishermen boats ashore. Apart from that, since it is also close to the harbour, sharks can also be spotted from time to time in the lagoon.

This panoramic view below shows the beach back in 2013. If we compare the same spot from the 1960s, it is obvious that this area has known a lot of changes.
