A practice that is slowly beginning to fade with the advent of technology and becoming quite rare is certainly seeing these women early in the morning down the river and washing their clothes. Quite amusing indeed to find these ladies collectively doing the laundry and of course, with a lot of chit-chat. Memories of a distant past when parents, together with neighbours, would go down the nearby river and children would accompany for the fun time to play in the river, a time when outdoor activities was the only game they would know of.
