Mont Choisy Beach (or Mon Choisy for some) is located in the north of the island, a little before Pointe Aux Canonniers. It is believed that Mont Choisy is one of the longest beaches of the island in terms of its geographical stretching. Additionally, it is also famed to be among the best beaches in the north, even though evolution has brought some changes to how it looks now and how it looked in the past.

The entrance to Mont Choisy Beach is guarded by a monument which commemorates the very first manned flight between Mauritius and Reunion Island which dates back in Sept 1933. The runway tracks can still be seen today even though covered with grass and greenery.
